Meet Tampa Oral Surgeon Ernesto Valiente, DMD

Dr. Ernesto Valiente is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Puerto Rico and received his Doctorate in Medical Dentistry from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine in 1991. He performed his residency and completed specialty training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Puerto Rico Medical Center, San Juan, in 1995. Dr. Valiente continued postgraduate studies at University of Washington, in Seattle, Washington.

Dr. Valiente continues to improve his skills and knowledge on the latest developments in his specialty by taking continuing education yearly including hands-on advanced surgical courses nationwide. The doctor and his team attend annual seminars through local and state societies, in addition to courses sponsored by recognized accredited institutions such as: the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Academy of Osseointegration, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Valiente devotes his professional career to all aspects of the practice of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with special interests in the treatment of pathology, dentoalveolar surgery such as wisdom teeth, all types of anesthesia and dental implants services.

Dr. Valiente’s participation in activities and continued education exceeds the State and National requirements. He donates time to perform surgical procedures for the underserved in the Tampa community.
